New T4 Reporting Requirements for Employers

Employers that offer dental coverage to their employees and/or a Healthcare Spending Account are now required to report on employees' access to dental benefits through T4 tax slips. This reporting is mandatory starting with the 2023 tax year and includes new boxes on T4 and T4A slips to indicate the type of dental coverage available to employees and their families.

How to Report

Starting in 2023, reporting will be mandatory every year. The following new boxes will be added to tax slips along with specific codes:
